Contour College

Majority of employers seek already competent operators in preference to providing training on-the-job. Consequently, accredited training has primarily been undertaken at training institutions, because of the intensely personal one-to-one nature of client services provided. Contour College is a member of the Advanced Association of Beauty Therapy (AABth) and a nationally accredited training facility for the Beauty Industry. Courses offered are both full-time and part-time, day and evenings.

Due to the nature of the services offered, some courses require a basic understanding of the human anatomy. However, all students are catered for, regardless of age or learning ability, under adult learning principles with 60% of the learning being practical 'hands-on' with clients.

There are no pre-requisites for entry to these qualifications.

WRB20304 Certificate II in Retail Cosmetic Services Entry level for Beauty Industry incl. demonstrate skin care products,

applying makeup, performing salon/store functions under supervision

WRB30104 Certificate III in Beauty Services Beauty practitioner with limited salon skills (wax, tint, nails, makeup)

WRB40105 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy Trade Equivalent < 1 year full-time (waxing,tinting, nails,

makeup, facials, masssage)

WRB50105 Diploma of Beauty Therapy Trade plus Spa Therapy specialist 1 year full time
